30 years after the fall of the Berlin Wall
On November 9, 1989, the Berlin Wall that separated the two parts of the city collapsed. A wind of freedom blows between East and West. Berliners seize this moment and rejoice in it. This will then lead to the disappearance of the iron curtain separating the two Europe.
RCF was created in 1982, on the initiative of the Archbishop of Lyon, Monseigneur Decourtray, and Father Emmanuel Payen. From the outset, RCF had the ambition to spread a message of hope and to offer to the greatest number of people a Christian reading of society and current affairs.
With 600,000 listeners every day, RCF now has 64 local radios and 270 frequencies in France and Belgium. These 64 community radio stations recognized as being of general interest live mainly from donations from their listeners. Information, culture, spirituality, daily life: RCF offers a general public, generalist, local program.
