Berlin Wall. Lights, music and words of peace, the party at the Brandenburg Gate

A party of lights and music. Under the cloud of messages of peace, in front of the Brandenburg Gate, thousands of tourists and Berliners celebrated 30 years since the fall of the Wall. "No wall that marginalizes human beings and limits freedom is so high or wide that it cannot be torn down", chancellor Angela Merkel scanned speaking in the morning at the Memorial of the Wall and, from the stage of the party, the German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier he warned that "the new walls in our country we built them ourselves and only we can break them down".

A huge sphere-shaped screen - as tall as the columns of the Brandenburg Gate, which reaches 31 meters with all the quadriga - four other large screens, two stages and above all a riot of colored lights are the backdrop to the music, video, lasers and witness stories. Silence and emotion accompanied the performance of the fifth symphony of Beethoven by the Staatskapelle Berlin conducted by Daniel Barenboim, while images and historical films of the history of the Wall flowed on the screens. The program includes many other music, including that of Westbam, one of Germany's most famous techno DJs and electronic musicians, and more lights and lasers.
